Dear players,
This is the DESERTOPIA2 Operations Team.
We will be updating the game to version 2.3.0 “Cat & Dog Party” on September 12 (Fri) at around 11:00 AM (GMT+8).
A mandatory update is scheduled for the same day, so please be sure to update in time!
As this is a major update, please see the detailed contents below:
◆ Main update contents:
1. New Event: “Currently camping!”
This update introduces a collection-type event.
During the event, tapping resource bubbles may drop the collection item “Marshmallows.”
Players can exchange collected marshmallows in the event shop for various limited-time rewards!
The event will begin on 2025/09/15 23:00 (GMT+8).

2. Major enhancements to the Buddy System
The Buddy System has received a big upgrade!
Previously, Buddies only helped with resource collection, but in this version they now have unique skills and can be leveled up.
Most importantly, new Buddy appearances such as “Shiba Inu” and “Norwegian Forest Cat” have been added—don’t miss out on these adorable companions!

3. New “Background Change” and “Decoration Editing” features
The decoration system has been expanded. A new “Background Change” button is now available on the right side of the screen.
Players can unlock new backgrounds using Gems. Once unlocked, they can be freely switched at any time, allowing you to match themes however you like!
In addition, a new editing function has been added for decorations. Players can now freely adjust the size and orientation of each decoration, giving you more creative freedom when arranging your lab!
4. Skin system UI update with new preview sorting
Skins now feature category options, making it easier to browse and select.
Also, when you get skins, you can now preview how they look directly on your character!
5. New resource boost items
This update introduces time-limited items that make resource collection easier. Three types are available:

Double Pop: +100% resource from tapping bubbles

Super Photosynthesis: +100% resource from tapping plants

Scan Boost: +100% resource from Sample Collection
These items can be obtained through purchases or missions. Make the most of them during their active time!
Other adjustments:
In addition to the above, several adjustments have been made based on player feedback, including:

Lowered requirements and rank for early terrariums

Adjusted some mission rewards

Clean Land Initiative now allows one continuation via ad view

Added confirmation prompt to the “Remove All Decorations” button for decorations

Adjusted zoom scale limits
